MA-860 Wi-Fi Remote Module
The MA-860 module enables 802.11b/g and 802.11a Wi-Fi signals to be combined with other wireless services for simultaneous distribution over the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network.

The MA-860 WLAN Module
The MA-860 can be deployed in a stand-alone mode for Wi-Fi only environments, or it can be connected to other MobileAccess elements (MA-1000/2000) to deliver Wi-Fi along with other wireless services including cellular/PCS, public safety, and WMTS. A self calibration procedure between the MA-860 and MobileAccess Wi-Fi Coverage Expanders (WCE) ensures optimal coverage for 802.11a/b/g WLAN services.
MA-860 Core Benefits:
- Cost Effective Multi-Service Solution
- Delivers WLAN and other wireless signals over a single multi-service infrastructure
- Spreads WLAN deployments costs across multiple wireless services
- Centralized & Secure AP Management
- 802.11 access points (APs) connect to the MA-860 in telecom closets making them more secure and easier to manage than in conventional Wi-Fi deployments
- Centralized, secure management lowers overall operating expenses
- Dependable WLAN Coverage
- One click compensation ensures optimal 802.11b/g and 802.11a coverage
- Dedicated AP to antenna relationships ensure transparent support for WLAN applications such as VOIP and location services (RTLS)
- Redundant power option mitigates single point of failure concern
- Proactive End-to-End Monitoring
- Proactive SNMP monitoring of the MA-860 based Wi-Fi infrastructure for status, alerting, and fault detection
- Monitoring extends to attached multi-service antennas
- Simplified IT Deployment Model
- Leverages standard WLAN design techniques to achieve a multi-service solution
