MA-RIU Product Family

The MobileAccess line of intelligent Radio Interface Units (RIUs) conditions the RF signals sourced from base-transceiver stations (BTS) or bi-directional amplifiers (BDA), ensuring a constant level of RF before those signals are passed on to the MobileAccess Universal Wireless Network.

The RIU is a chassis based unit that can house a combination of up to three BTS (BTSC) or BDA Conditioner (BDAC) modules supporting multiple RF services. This scalable device is used for large installations of up to eight MobileAccess Base Units and can be upgraded to support additional services.

RIU Family Core Capabilities:

• Automatic conditioning of BTS/BDA signals.
• Configurable Automatic Gain Control (AGC) functions that ensure a constant level of RF input to the system.
• Remote setup, adjustments and monitoring through MA 410/430 controller connections.
• Allows monitoring of receive and transmit signals from the carrier’s BTS/BDA equipment.
• Programmable Noise Level reduction parameter.
• Simplex and Duplex interfaces to BTS/BDAs.
